Miss Minnie’s Legacy

A visit to my childhood home, “Up Yonder”, is a departure from city life. Through the gate and up the hill, Miss Minnie throws her arms open wide and hollars “Howdy, I’m just so proud to be here!” Her hospitable legacy is echoed in nature. Thousands of daffodil blossoms grace the hill side, as if to say hello and welcome. They open their faces to the sun each morning and close to the moon each night.

Time to give thanks & celebrate💛

The commemorative china taking center stage in this table setting is very special. Paul and I received a set of plates from this pattern, as a wedding gift from the Frists, when Senator Frist held the seat in which Mom will soon serve. (❤️Hubby and I met working in the senate office🇺🇸 ) For you china fan girls, this was a commemorative pattern made by Tiffany and Co. in 2000, called the Millennium Series, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the first meeting of Congress, in Washington, D.C. I’m sure you can guess why I thought this was the perfect pattern for our family dinner. Tomorrow is also our parents 44th wedding anniversary💛 We are thankful for so much to celebrate! Cheers!

Family Ties

Bow ties are funny. To my point,  a bow tie is only perfectly tied when it is IMperfectly tied- a little messy, with a sense of humor, not taken too seriously.
