It was about (tea) time!

A little history: 100 years ago, a trailblazing group of women were shaking things up on the political scene. They became known as the Suffragists, and their mission was clear cut and simple: They wanted ratification of the 19th amendment, which would afford women the right to vote. This revered group of ladies handled much of their business over tea- And on what turned out to be quite an historic day for women, they gathered in the lobby of the historic Hermitage Hotel in downtown Nashville, before taking the Tennessee capitol by storm. Their voices were heard. The Volunteer state came through for the Suffragists, and in 1920, women gained the right to vote!
